Have
you ever heard about the village that Elephants raised people?
This is a special village in Surin
province of Thailand. You can find it by go to Taglang Village, Grapho
Sup-district, Thatoom District, Surin Province. It is very easy to go there
because you can take a bus for one and half hours from Surin. People in this
village catch Elephant for pet not for work like you know. They pretend that
Elephant is a member of their family and they teach Elephants just for show in
Elephants’ festival. Lots of elders in this village have knowledge about how to
catch Elephants and they teach their children to do it and respect Elephants like
they did. Every Saturday and Sunday has Elephants’ show. You can see lots of
Elephant’s talents such as drawing, painting and playing football. You will see
the happiness in this village because Elephants happy to do it and happy to live with
people.
This is the reason that lots of people would like to go there to see the show and the way people and Elephants live together, so you have to pay for the ticket. Then, they call this village is the village that Elephants raised people.
